About The Program: Craig Ballantyne is best noted for his Turbulence Training program for fat loss. However, he has recently introduced a new product specifically designed for training to get lean, ripped abs. The new program is Turbulence Training For Abs.

As far as programs go, Turbulence Training For Abs is the most complete program I’ve reviewed for fat reduction and for getting ripped abs. One of the things I like about Ballantyne’s approach is that he targets fat loss first and muscular development second. By that I mean, he recognizes that all the ab exercises in the world will not get you the desired result unless you first shed the fat.

So, his program is heavily developed around maximizing your fat loss. He’s taken the Turbulence Training-style fat loss exercise programs and adapted those to specifically help those people looking for flatter, more defined abs.

These programs aren’t built around long cardio workouts. Ballantyne has a more effective approach that involves higher intensity, shorter workouts. In my experience, these are far better for fat loss than the standard long cardio workouts which are often advocated. 3 days a week of very intense workouts is all many people need to lose a substantial amount of weight.

The other nice thing is that these workouts can easily be done at home. Many of the exercises are body weight, however I suggest you might also want dumbbells and/or resistance bands to add to the exercises.

Turbulence Training Diet: In my opinion, programs that don’t provide nutritional advice and plans aren’t worth a whole lot. Good diet is a cornerstone for getting rid of belly fat, so whatever program you chose, make sure it comes complete. In this case, Turbulence Training For Abs does include nutritional plans.

The Turbulence Training For Abs program comes with an accompanying book “The Advanced Abdominal Nutrition Guidelines & Meal Plans for Men & Women” by Isabel De Los Rios. As a Holistic Nutritionist De Los Rios has provided a sound template and accompanying meal plans that are appropriate for real world fat loss. Her diet leads you toward healthy, low calorie meals with the right mix of fats, carbs, and proteins.

Another thing that’s unique with this program is that you get a 3 month subscription to The Turbulence Training discussion forum. This is a members only forum where you can get questions answered, get help, or even swap recipes. I personally feel that on-going support is important. If you’re going to buy a program, at the very the least you should get your questions answered.
